They Poured!

Today, Shelly and I drove by the Chace after a tasty lunch at the Chipotle. We got a text update from Lara about a concrete truck at a certain lot #58!

Here's some pics:

They're ready for the big pour!

Just a quick update, as I've been driving by the house on my way to work, at lunch, and after work. They've setup the foundation frame, and poured and laid cinder blocks on the front part near the hill. Here's some pics:

Look, I'm in the Living room looking at the Dinning Room.

Its our site plan!

No pests here!

House Building Day 1....

Well not really, but they've got something up!

I did my normal lunch drive with Lara to find more than just black plastic on the lot. They put up the wood to frame foundation! Here's some pics:

Do I see a back yard for Paddy?

Decorator Done!

A very expensive Friday the 13th......

We had our decorator appointment on Friday. It turned a bit expensive, who knew that a few cabinets and floors could be so bloody much!

Here's what we're doing:
(1.) We decided to upgrade our floors in the Living Room, Dinning Room, Kitchen, Breakfast Room, and Hallway. While the decorator center offered a number options, we didn't find a green option within our budget. So we went with a skinny, dark, matte oak flooring product by Anderson flooring product called Biltmore Estates Cider House Barren Branches. Here's a link to the product's webpage.

(2.) Our countertops in the kitchen will be Raven Black granite. Here's a link to a picture of it.

(3.) For our Kitchen cabinets, we felt we had to go lighter since everything else in it will be dark. While Chris wanted a glazed product, I wanted a white one. As it turns out both were out of our budget. So we compromised and got a medium maple called Portrait Maple Sable. Here's a link.

(4.) Our theme for our Master Bath is a traditional 1920's error dark and light pallet. We're still working the tile products, but we did decide on a cabinet. We're going with something called Quincy Dulce. It's the ones that are in Becky and Lara's kitchen. I couldn't find a link online, but its in the picture below.  Numbers 1, 2, and 3 from the design center are also in these pics:

(5.) Chris picked out the tile for the fireplace surround. It's called Sassari. It should look really great! Here's a pic:

(6.) We went standard on the carpet in the bedrooms. We'll come back and do the master bedroom soon. But here's a pic:

(7.) Finally for our tile in the laundry and second bathroom, we went with a standard. What can I say, we were broke! Here's a pic:

We've still got to do the appliances in the kitchen, and tile in the master bath.

More to come.... :)
