Final work and Orientation/Walkthrough

So we have been negligent at posting for a while, but we are almost done with the house. Landscaping is done and with a couple of modifications it will be what we want. This past Thursday we had our walkthrough and orientation.  Signature takes you through the house and lets you make sure everything meets your standards.  (Unfortunately for Carol and the rest of the gang), We have very high standards and the great thing was that Signature agreed to do all of the changes we wanted.  The floors and walls needed some touchups and windows had some odd glazing issues in the living room.  It was so nice to walkthrough and see what we have to look forward to this weekend.  That's right! We are closing on the 28th.  It seems so fast and it has been a really fun experience. 

There are 2 houses going up next to us already.  They are really cute houses that we both think are great floor plans. (In the market for some fun neighbors?) It will be nice to be able to enjoy watching these go up quickly from the comfort of our patio or living room rather than from a condo miles away. The community is growing fast.  We are going to be the 5th to close and by September that number will be more like 30 or 40.  We are so excited and hope you will come by and help us enjoy our new home!

Exterior and Interior Update

Ok, so I've been a bit busy lately, and I haven't updated the blog very much. They've really moved along with the house a lot.

Lara and Becky did close on their house! We've been helping them "move in". :)

And last week, Signature Homes hosted an Open House at the Model in the neighborhood. It was a lot of fun, and we got to meet a lot of our future neighbors. We enjoyed it!

After the Frame Review....

On Wednesday (3/25/2009), we had the frame review! The frame review is part of the Signature Homes review process in which the buyer tours the house to review for changes, additions or deletions the frame, ruffed in electrical and HVAC. It went great!
